- They were great to deal with overall. The initial quote/review of work needed was booked based on my schedule. The craftsman knew he would be late arriving and he called to inform of us of this and apologize. - The craftsman was knowledgeable about the job and gave us a quote and time frame that the job would take. - When the work was booked through the craftsman at the time of getting the quote, we didn't receive an email with the job being booked, but since Handyman connection typically sends emails of appointments booked and reminders, I knew something wasn't quite right and this was easily fixed with a call to the office. - The craftsman was quite late in arriving to get the job done with no phone call to let us know, the office also couldn't get a hold of him but it was on his schedule so they hoped he would come. The work didn't take as long as he anticipated (quoted 2.5-3.5 hrs, took under 2hrs). After 2 weeks, the job/caulking done was not adhering at all & we were worse off than prior to the job being done since this was maintenance & not because there was a huge problem. - When we contacted the office, they were great at trying to find a time to have him come back, but when we couldn't find an opening to be home for 3 hours on short notice, the office was not as great/helpful in accommodating us and sending a different craftsman, we had to wait till the same guy could come back. It meant waiting 6 days to get him back here. In discussing the problems with the staff at the office, there was inconsistencies in who needed to supply the caulking in comparison to what the craftsman had said and done initially; and it appeared that possibly the wrong supply was used by the craftsman when I asked for guidance in what supplies to buy. - the craftsman was very apologetic that the first job didn't stick and we asked a lot of questions re: why did this happened, supplies used, etc. In the end, we asked him to use the stuff we bought over his since his was freezing cold from being in his car and he had said caulking that freezes at some point can be the issue in our scenario. The job this time only took about an hour as he said the caulking was basically coming off and easy to get off. - we inspected the job before he left, but with it being wet, we can't feel it and see the thickness. We have been monitoring it at this point and hope it sticks/stays. Glad we have the 1 year warranty, as we will call and have them come again if at all concerned. - we have used handyman connection many times and this is the first time we have had any issues. Overall, they have been great to deal with and we have been happy with the service and work done. This time, it was a lot more frustrating for us with hearing different messaging.
